A Typical Day in the program

The juice fast will last for 6 days and one day of readjustment period back to solid food.

2-3 days before the fast eat nothing but raw fruits and vegetables, and vegetarian soups.

Fasting usually begins with an effective bowel cleanse and purgatory. Two options of purgatories are castor oil or glaubers salts.

Note: an enema is NOT neccessary to add to your fast, however there are great benefits in incorporating it into your fast. There are plenty of articles and information you can research about, as well as a article I have posted on the bottom the page.

One or two hours before an enema, the castor oil is taken.

You can begin your fast without a purgative by taking a double enema. First take 1 pint of plain water and let it out, and then repeat with a full quart of water into which chamomile tea or a few drops of lemon juice have been added.

A typical day. (but not confined to)

Wake up: Enema (if you wish)
Cup of herbal tea of your choice.

Brunch: glass of juice

Lunch: vegetable juice or vegetable broth.

Afternoon tea

Dinner: vegetable/ fruit/ or broth

Plenty of water (6-8 glasses per day)

Remember that staying active is also an important part of fasting. Going for walks, being in fresh air and participating in activities such as yoga will all help to detoxify the body.
The cabin will have a sauna, which is recommended to take advantage of to sweat out the toxins!

Breaking the fast!
Breaking the fast is the most significant phase of it. The beneficial effects of fasting can be completely undone if the fast is broken incorrectly.
Do not overeat!!
Eat slowly and chew your food extremely well.
Take several days to transition to a normal diet.

First day.
We will break the fast together on our last day of the retreat. We will eat very light with some solid fruit in the morning and light raw vegetables throughout the day. We will still continue with juices, broth and water.

Together we will prepare fresh meals for the second day of breaking the fast. You can bring your own containers so you will have all the food you need for the next day when you get back to your normal lifestyle. The benefit of this is that you already have your meals prepared to ease back into normal healthy eating patterns.
