what is this about??

I am not a fasting facilitator, and not intending to facilitate this retreat. However I am familiar with fasting and have worked in retreat settings for periods of time. I can offer advice and guidance throughout the fast to the best of my capabilities, but everyone is responsible for their own body and mind and therefore are responsible for themselves.

The idea is that we are all fasting together in a space of non-temptation, where we can focus on our individual goals with the company of others who share similar interests.. Fasting for health.

We are going on this retreat together to have fun and gain a new sense of health. If we have skills to offer, we may offer them! If we would like to paint, we may paint, dance, mediate, do yoga, whatever your heart desires.

Fasting is a powerful tool to cleanse the body and the mind. It can bring out many emotions and actions that we will not always understand. As our body eliminates toxins it also eliminates emotions that were connected with those toxins. Due to these circumstances, the week should be open and free of judgments to ourselves and others.
